so we found the only hipster clothing store in all of india--it's here in palolem ans it's called "freak". it's got lots of ironic t-shirts and trendy dresses that hippies wouldn't be caught dead in. we all fell in love with the clothes there, but it was tough, because the prices were fixed... that's practically unheard of, nothing is fixed price, even hotels are usually open to haggling.... so it was really hard for us to shell out the 9-12 dollars for our t-shirts, but then we just pretended it was marine specialties, and it got a lot easier. then we were so happy we decided to have a photo shoot, top model style! i have to say though, we look pretty catalogue in all the photos.

katie in a bikini. now THAT made my day. glad you're finding fab things to buy. are you going to hampi? i remember seeing notices about the night buses from hampi to goa, so it can't be too far. totally TOTALLY amazing temples. but avoid night buses, for GODS sakes. keep safe. watch out for bad palak paneer - that was my undoing on thanksgiving day 1998. sick as a dog for two days on bad cheese.
